Welcome to Schoolster. By downloading, accessing, or using our app or website, you agree to comply with the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

These terms apply to schools, teachers, parents, students, and staff who use any Schoolster service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Schoolster, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, along with our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, please stop using the platform immediately.

2. Eligibility

Use of Schoolster is authorized only through registered schools and their designated users (teachers, parents, students, and staff).
Unauthorized or fraudulent access is strictly prohibited.

3. User Accounts

a. Account Responsibility

Users must:

  • Provide accurate information

  • Keep login credentials confidential

  • Notify the school or Schoolster support if they suspect unauthorized access

The account holder is responsible for ALL activity under their login.

b. Account Access

Schoolster may restrict or revoke access if:

  • Misuse or violation of policies is detected

  • False information is provided

  • Security risks are identified

4. Use of the Platform

You agree not to:

  • Upload harmful, abusive, or inappropriate content

  • Interfere with the platform’s security or operations

  • Misuse student or staff data

  • Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or exploit system vulnerabilities

  • Use the platform for commercial, illegal, or unauthorized purposes

Schoolster is intended solely for school communication, academic monitoring, and administration.

5. School Data & Content

Schools are responsible for:

  • Accuracy of student, staff, academic, and administrative data

  • Permissions to upload or share student information

  • Managing user accounts within their institution

Schoolster is not responsible for incorrect or outdated data submitted by schools.

6. Communication Services

The app may send notifications related to:

  • Homework

  • Attendance

  • Announcements

  • Exams

  • Fees

  • School events

By using the platform, you consent to receive such communication.

7. Fees & Payments (If applicable)

Schools may use Schoolster to display or manage fee payments.
Schoolster:

  • Does NOT store card/bank details

  • Is NOT responsible for failures caused by third-party payment gateways

  • Cannot issue refunds unless directed by the school

Refund policies are decided exclusively by the institution.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, software, logos, and materials in Schoolster are owned by or licensed to us.
Users may not:

  • Copy

  • Modify

  • Distribute

  • Sublicense

  • Create derivative works

Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

9. Limitation of Liability

Schoolster is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We are not liable for:

  • Data inaccuracies uploaded by schools

  • Service interruptions

  • Loss of data due to user error

  • Issues caused by internet or device failures

  • Third-party payment issues

  • Unauthorized access due to weak user passwords

We strive to maintain uptime and security but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

10. Suspension or Termination

Schoolster may suspend or terminate access if:

  • A user violates these terms

  • School authorization is withdrawn

  • The platform undergoes major maintenance

  • Security concerns arise

Schools may also disable user accounts at their discretion.

11. Third-Party Services

Schoolster may integrate with:

  • Payment gateways

  • Cloud hosting providers

  • SMS/email/notification services

We are not responsible for failures, errors, or policies of third-party providers.

12. Data Privacy

Use of the platform is governed by our Privacy Policy.
By using Schoolster, you consent to the collection and use of data as described in the policy.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and interpreted according to the laws of India.
Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
